Hurst Australia Pty. Limited is a quality endorsed chemical manufacturer for the printing industry specialising in the development, manufacture and supply of high quality chemical products for the printing industry. Quality Accredited under ISO9001: 2000, License no: 3104.
It is the established policy of Hurst Australia Pty Ltd to manufacture and supply quality products on time, in accordance with the needs and expectations of our customers. The Company's directors are committed by our capability and through an assessment of that capability by an outside Accrediting Authority. At Hurst Australia the Quality Assurance system is organised to comply with Standard ISO9001 for Quality Assurance. Hurst Australia has a highly skilled and experienced staff to support this activity and provide technical and sales support.
It is the responsibility of senior management to ensure that this policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels of the organisation. The Quality Assurance system shall be continually and systematically audited for effectiveness and compliance with defined requirements. A continuous process of measurable quality improvement within the framework of the Quality Assurance system is a cornerstone of Hurst's efforts to ensure the satisfaction of our customers and the future of our Company.
The effects which chemicals may have upon health, safety and the environment concerns everyone. As the leading Australian-owned manufacturer of printing chemicals, we seriously observe our special responsibility in this regard. It is our policy to ensure that neither personnel nor the environment is endangered by any of our processes and that our customers are kept informed about the responsible handling of our products.
In each case, Hurst products are designed to minimise risk of injury. This is achieved by methods such as the careful selection of raw materials to reduce or eliminate potentially harmful components. Unique additives and press room specialties promote source reduction and high performance. Increasingly, our products are based on renewable agricultural resources. Hurst is committed to better, cleaner surroundings both in the press room workplace and in the larger exterior environment which we all share.

Research and Development
Hurst laboratories are devoted to the development of new products and the continual improvement of existing ones, as well as the quality assurance of ongoing production. As new research generates a lengthening list of suspect materials, the laboratory gives us the option to reformulate or replace any elements of our products which may come into question.
Working with the indispensable co-operation of our customers, developing products are continually field-tested and evaluated before their introduction. This co-operation has led to almost all of the initiatives we have been able to put into effect and we regard it as fundamental to our success.
